Andrew Carini, LCSW, MSW studied in New York and earned a Masters degree in Clinical Social Work from Stony Brook University in 1998. Since the start of his career Andrew has specialized in working adults, children and their families. He held the role of Director of Residential Services where he played an integral part in developing and directing community based group homes for individuals with a variety of disabilities.
In 2003, Andrew relocated to Florida to work with juvenile offenders and was certified as an “Exceptional Student Education” teacher. He later completed a two-year training endorsement in the area of Autism Spectrum Disorders and worked as an adjunct professor. Andrew has been employed in the Florida school system for the past ten years providing instruction, clinical social work and behavior support services. In this role, Andrew was promoted to train other school staff in Applied Behavior Analysis
Andrew utilizes a cognitive behavioral and solution focused approach to help his clients find the answers they are looking for. He frequently draws on principles of Applied Behavior Analysis in developing solutions to difficult situations. He believes that with the proper strategies families can help support each other in obtaining the skills needed to ensure a successful future. He has a direct, yet supportive approach to providing his clients with manageable and realistic solutions.
Andrew works with individuals, couples and families. His specialties include social skills training, anger management, behavioral self-regulation and overall self-esteem improvement. He also provides couples counseling.
He offers a variety of services including Educational Consulting and Private Practice Credentialing.
Andrew provides a safe and supportive environment where his clients can feel comfortable in developing meaningful solutions. Andrew offers flexible hours including evenings.

I graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Masters degree from Stony Brook University in New York. During that time, I worked in various community- based agencies in both direct service and supervisory capacities.
I moved to sunny Florida in 2003 to work with juvenile offenders in addition to becoming a Certified Exceptional Student Education teacher. I spent several years working as an Adjunct Professor as well a maintaining a private therapy practice. I have been employed in the Florida Public School system for the past fifteen years providing social work consultation and behavior support services. I also extensively studied the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis and have provided staff training and development in this area.
I utilize a Cognitive Behavioral and Solution Focused framework. I frequently draw on a variety of modalities in developing solutions to difficult situations. I have a direct, yet supportive approach to providing clients with manageable and realistic solutions.
I work with individuals, couples and families. I’ve completed the Level 1 Gottman training intensive in evidence-based interventions for couples. I can assist in the development and implementation of programs for Anxiety and Anger Management, Behavioral Self-regulation and overall Self-esteem improvement. I also offer Pre-Marital counseling.
